Pine Glow | Kesar Bagh – Kalamkari Block Print Table Lamp

Rust, ochre and deep brown florals, hand block-printed on cotton in the Kalamkari tradition of Andhra Pradesh. Kalamkari means "pen work", the older form was drawn freehand with a bamboo pen; this shade uses carved wooden blocks, dipped in natural dyes, pressed by hand. The pattern looks like an old garden wall. Lit from behind, the whole shade turns amber and the leaves show through like pressed flowers. The frame is repurposed pine, made by hand in Dehradun. The shade is washable and swaps with any Pine Glow shade. A warm handmade table lamp for a living room shelf, a dining corner, or a study that needs less white.
