Hi, I am Kamya, founder of Little Lamps. I come from the small, beautiful hill station of Almora, Uttarakhand. I was one of the privileged few girls to receive an education in this small town, which led me to a career in banking. Over time, however, I realised that while a job could offer security, it limited my reach. I wanted to do work that created an impact beyond my own life and my family’s life. I was looking for freedom, growth, and purpose - and Little Lamps gave me all three.

Little Lamps is a unique concept that brings together India’s rich heritage of crafts, its many skilled artisans, and the need to create more sustainable futures for our world.

Our unique hand-painted and hand-embroidered lampshades, inspired by India’s rich handicraft techniques, brought to life in collaboration with our talented pool of artisans and crafted around repurposed pine wood, create one-of-a-kind lamps that are:

Our lamp frames are crafted from waste wood that would otherwise end up in landfills. Our lampshades are made of eco-friendly textiles and are fully washable and replaceable. You can change the shades on your lamps and refresh your look without changing the entire frame, enjoy several diverse looks with just one frame.
